One of the most irritating things that can happen to you when you are using Office is a toolbar that was there last time you looked has now disappeared. (I have no explanation for why things disappear but I can usually get them back)

For example: you go to click on the Centre Alignment icon and it isn’t there. Once you know what to do to get it back it looks so easy you wonder how you ever puzzled over it.

There are two options – one shorter than the other

Option 1

Click on View on the Menu bar
Go down to Toolbars and follow the arrow across
You will see displayed a list of toolbars, click on the toolbar you want
In the case of the example, this icon is on the Formatting toolbar.

Option 2

Click with right mouse button in the empty greeny/grey area of the existing toolbars as illustrated
 
 

The list of toolbars immediately appears

Click on the toolbar you want.
