How we got here

We have been involved in computing education since 1980.  Our expertise started with small systems with 1 kilobyte of memory that hooked up to the TV set!
The teaching of how to use computers has been happening ever since then and, of course, being teachers, we had to fix our own computers and we went from there. There isn’t much we don’t know about them.  So if you want one fixed, upgraded or you want to buy a new one, we are your man (and woman).

Computers we have known, some of which we have loved.

Sinclair ZX80 and ZX81, MicroBee, Apple ][, Commodore Vic 20,
BBC Model B and Master, Acorn RISC OS, IBM, Macintosh, Linux

Graphics of Wyverns Supplied by Peter Seekings

Why Wyvern?

For those who don't know, Wyverns are mythical beasts of the dragon type.  Various texts suggest that they have 2 legs and 2 wings but many drawings have 4 legs, including the Welsh flag.
Deirdree, who in previous lives taught in state and independent schools, as well as a time in the education unit at Silverwater gaol complex, has always been proud of her dragon-like reputation among the inmates of all of the above.  She does have a gentle side which is what her latest batch of hard working students sees.  These days, her dedicated students wonder about her dragon reputation, those who did not know how to co-operate in class were not in two minds about the reputation.
When thinking of a name for the company, she had seen an Acorn Draw file of a Wyvern and the idea stayed.
We entrusted the sign writing to our friend
Peter Seekings when it came to a sandwich board for the footpath and it is those images that he created that have been digitised and form the logo and background images of these pages.  Thanks Peter.
